Новая Эйприл чесно говоря как то не очень !

Какая информативная статья О_о Автору спасибо, с удовольствием всё прочитала, даже другими вселенными заинтересовалась )) В первом мультсериале она просто красотка)

Великолепный персонаж. Пожалуй более глубоко, чем в оригинальных комиксах линия Эйприл не прописана больше нигде. # 22 четвертого тома в свое время впечатлил достаточно сильно. Общий дух и атмосфера комикса выдержаны в стиле "True Stories" . Эйприл действительно довольно трагичный персонаж, а все сценарные ходы показывают, насколько смелые решения принимал Лэрд.

Немного о Эйприл.
Из линейки комиксов от Арчи. Там было досье, где можно было прочитать информацию о всех главных персонажах серии.

Интересная находка: оказывается в манге, нарисованной художником Хидэцугу Йошиокой (Hidetsugu Yoshioka) про Черепашек-ниндзей, должна была появится мутировавшая Эйприл, как во втором сезоне сериала. В японском ежемесячном журнале Comic BomBom публиковались цветные объявления и реклама от различных компаний/издательств, среди которых была найдена такая страница:
В интервью автор уточнял, что превращение Эйприл в женщину-кошку было лишь его "прихотью". Как я понял, новые выпуски манги не выходили и этот сюжет так и остался нереализованным.

I own the Yoshioka Comic Bom Bom run! Yoshioka drew this comic as a promotion for the Takara Super Turtles toy line. He included Casey Jones and Cat-Mutant April because he liked the designs, but the editor did not have plans for them since neither of those characters had their own action figure in the Super Turtles toy line. The Yoshioka pages appeared in the August 1995-January 1996 issues of Comic Bom Bom. April mutates into the Cat-woman form in the November issue and returns to normal human form in the December issue.

Mutatin' April of the TMNT Mutations toy line did see a Japanese release, but probably as a fan-club mail order exclusive rather than a retail release. Nevertheless, that Mutations figure was the most prominent April O'Neil toy in most of the Japanese promotional literature:

Yes, the figure was good as a concept but flawed in execution. The best part about it was the original artwork on the box and "Mutation chart."

A fan collector of TMNT prototypes recently shared to social media the original concept art for an April O'Neil cat-mutant concept with wax sculpt and concept art by Michael Dooney! A shame this never made it into production!

Posted on a Facebook collector's group today... Jim Lawson's (assumed) concept drawing for an April O'Neil the Catwoman action figure (1989)! Dated one year prior to Dooney's concept art which made it all the way to the plastic mold.
