Intro: Mikey is dressed in a weird looking “superhero” costume and he tells us about his exciting superhero team-up adventure with the Silver Sentry. (This basic scene repeats itself later in the main action).

The TMNT are out on a training exercise above ground and Mike is talking about how peaceful it has been since they kicked Shredder’s butt. Further, he thinks the Turtles should be doing more to enhance the greater good of mankind. The other Turtles think this is a funny notion and tell Mike to get serious and to quit reading so many comic books.

A little further into the exercise, the Turtles come upon a burning building where a child is trapped on one of the upper floors. Mikey wants to rush in and save the kid, but Leo tells him the fire department has it covered and Mike should stay put. Before Mikey can grumble too much, in flies the Silver Sentry, a well-known local superhero. The Silver Sentry saves the child and puts out the fire, receiving a round of applause from everyone in the vicinity. Mike is awestruck at seeing one of his heroes in action and he tells his brothers that they should become super heroes, wear costumes and help the city in a more open way. The rest of the TMNT tell Mikey that he has really lost it now. Mike shuts up... but he doesn’t forget.

Back at the lair, Master Splinter is training Leo, Don and Raph, but rather than paying attention to his exercises, Mike is doodling some sketches of costumes that the TMNT might wear as super heroes. Splinter is upset with Mike's lack of attention to the lesson, and Raph grabs the sketchbook and the guys all have a big laugh when they see Mikey's designs. Mike appeals to Master Splinter that the Turtles should become super heroes so they won't have to hide in the shadows, but the Sensei once again cautions against being seen or drawing attention to themselves. Splinter explains that there are different paths that one must walk - and Michelangelo must choose his. Mike gathers up his sketches and heads topside, where he seeks the advice and help of April O’Neil.

April tells Mike that he should follow his dreams, and she helps him develop a superhero costume, by using articles from her second-hand shop. Mike settles on a costume that consists of a cape, a ski mask and a shield. He proclaims himself “Turtle Titan”, and paints a TT on his chest.

Wearing his Turtle Titan costume, Mike heads out on patrol. However, every time he tries to do a good deed something goes wrong and he ends up looking guilty or silly. Also, the people that Mikey tries to help are all in trances until a robotic bug is seen scurrying away from them, at which point the people return to normal with no knowledge of what just happened and they get angry or afraid of Mike. At the end of his last heroic misadventure (with a bus driver being mind-controlled by the strange bug-like device), the Silver Sentry swoops in to save Mike’s shell. Mikey is initially awestruck at the chance to meet his hero, and the pair have a discussion about the perils of super heroics. As Silver Sentry prepares to leave he tells Mike to leave the superhero stuff to him because someone could get hurt - and it will probably be the Turtle Titan. However, just before he leaves, Mike tells him he should take a look at one of the robot-bugs that he caught. After examining the bug, Silver Sentry concludes it’s the work of his arch enemy, Dr. Malignus.

Silver Sentry takes off to follow the robot-bugs communications signal to Dr. Malignus’ lair, and Mikey follows along on foot, trying to keep up. Even though Mike falls far behind he does see the warehouse Silver Sentry goes into. When Mikey enters the building he discovers that one of Malignus’ bugs has attached itself to the Silver Sentry and Sentry is doing Malignus’ bidding!

Malignus has Sentry attack Mike, and things look pretty desperate for the hapless Turtle Titan - and Mike decides that Master Splinter was right (again) and it's time to remove his costume and handle things as he was trained to - as a ninja! Unfortunately the Silver Sentry's super abilities once against allow him to gain the upper hand in the battle, but then Mike remembers the training move that Splinter had been teaching them earlier and uses it to avoid an attack and then hop onto the Sentry's back and remove the bug. Mike then teams up with Sentry to defeat Malignus.

Once Malignus has been locked up and taken away, Silver Sentry thanks Mike for his help, but he still warns the ninja to leave the superhero stuff to trained professionals. After the day’s activities, Mike thinks this is good advice and he heads back to the lair feeling like being a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle is just fine. When Mikey gets back to the lair, the guys tease him and he walks silently to the TV area and grabs the remote, turning on the evening news. We see the Sentry being interviewed, and he thanks the Turtle Titan for his help. Leo, Don and Raph look upon the screen in shock and ask Mikey if it was him who helped the superhero. Mikey stands up and states that he's a Turtle, not a titan - and then asks Splinter to renew their training session.

TMNT episode 12 premise: "The Unconvincing Turtle-Man"
This premise is somewhat underwhelming ("unconvincing", you might say). One big problem I have with it is that it uses the story from the "Michelangelo Micro-Series" comic in a kind of throwaway manner. If we're going to use that story (and I think we should) I would want it to be the focal point of the episode. Now on to specific points:
1.) "The Green Gibbon" -- has this name been searched? And I believe "Turtle-Man" is the name given to a minor supervillain in DC comics (I could be wrong about the name, but I think Kevin and I illustrated -- at DC's request -- this character's page in DC's "Who's Who" series).
2.) Is a glancing blow from a closed canister of the ooze enough to mutate this human character in so radical a fashion? After all, it took near-total immersion in the ooze to mutate the Turtles.
3.) When April helps Mike make his costume, what is she thinking? If she is seriously trying to help him become a superhero, she's going against the direct wishes of Splinter, said wishes being something I think she would have become aware of -- at least in a general way -- since she has come to know the Turtles. Would she do that? Or is she humoring Mike? Or is Mike misleading her to get her help, perhaps saying that he needs the costume for a party that the Turtles are having or for a video he wants to make or something?

4.) The whole "Green Gibbon reveals himself and tells Mike how hard it is to be a superhero" thing seems kind of forced and ultimately unnecessary. (Hasn't Mike figured out that "how hard" part for himself, already?) And why would the Green Gibbon under his mask be a "scared-looking teenager"? The connection between GG and TMNT vis a vis the TCRI canister seems pointless, at least as told here. (Why would the Green Gibbon decide that "their destinies are clearly interlinked"? Perhaps their origins -- if we decide to go in that direction -- but their destinies? I think not.)
I think this story has some potential, but it's pretty far away at this point. To start with, I would lose the "L'il OrphanAliens™"/Christmas sublpot (and save it for another episode, perhaps a Christmas special), and play up the "ups and downs of being a superhero" bit. For example -- Mike discovers that one of the BIG downsides to being a superhero is having to fight SUPERVILLAINS! He could find himself way out of his element trying to battle some supervillain with whatever gadgets/weapons/moves he's devised for his "Turtle-Man" persona. It might even be fun to do something like have him be losing this battle and in the course of it have his costume trashed and his gadgets destroyed, and along with them his superhero dreams... then SOMEHOW he gets hold of/makes a pair of nunchuks (or something that would work like 'chuks) and he realizes that he doesn't need that costumed crap -- he can kick major butt if he remains true to himself as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!
And corny thought it may be, this might also be fun: After Mike (as a ninja turtle) has defeated the villain, the Green Gibbon could show up and say something like "You did good, kid" and toss him something (a patented Green Gibbon "grapple vine"? a Green Gibbon decoder ring? etc.). As GG leaps away into the sunset, an awestruck (but wiser) Mike says something like "Wow... thanks, Green Gibbon!" (I'm thinking of that Coke commercial with the football player -- Mean Joe Green? -- and the little kid.)

Lloyd,
Sometime between 12:30 and 1 should not be a problem.
Re: "Turtle Titan" -- it is better than the last go-round, but still not quite there. My major problem with it is the bit about the "mind-controlling robo-bug" things. First, I can see why the villain might try to use them on the Silver Sentry, but why all of the other regular people (if, as stated in the outline, the Servo-Master's actual plan is to not only defeat Silver Sentry but to look like a hero doing it)? Why waster them on the purse snatcher (who's not, really), the ledge-jumper, and the bus driver? Am I missing something? Also, the "robo-bug in the ear" thing may just be a bit too grotesque (and inappropriate if we use another idea as explained below).
I also found how Mikey defeats the Servo-Master (basically somehow getting into the giant Robo-Tank -- a bit too easily, I might add -- and smashing some stuff) pretty clunky and crude -- not really making the best use of his ninja-ness. It also misses a prime opportunity set up by the "mind control" of Silver Sentry -- the classic "hero vs. hero" thing, where Mikey would have to (reluctantly) fight the crazed SIlver Sentry. I would suggest something like this: Instead of the robo-bug disappearing into people's ears, have it clamp onto the backs of their heads (perhaps underneath their hair), the implication being that it is tapping into the spinal column or brain from that position. This would allow Mikey the opportunity to -- during a fight where he has to use all of his ninja skills of evasion and dexterity to avoid being walloped by Silver Sentry -- do some kind of amazing "flip and grab" ninja-acrobatic stunt where he does some kind of wild twisting flip over the Silver Sentry's head and simultaneously grabs and pull off the robo-bug, freeing the Sentry from its mind-controlling influence. Then the Sentry could take on the Servo-Master and his Robo-Tank.
We'll talk more tomorrow.

Lloyd,
I really don't have anything to say about the premise for episode 12 -- it's much improved, though. Actually, there is one thing -- the names of Silver Sentry and Servo Master. Are the words "Silver" and "Servo" too similar sounding?
I just remembered one other thing -- the (mis)use of the word "wail" or "wailing" to refer to beating up on somebody. I believe that should be "whale", as defined thus in the Merriam-Webster dictionary:
Main Entry: [3]whale
Function: transitive verb
Inflected Form(s): whaled; whal·ing
Etymology: origin unknown
Date: circa 1790
1 : LASH, THRASH
2 : to strike or hit vigorously
3 : to defeat soundly

First Draft Storyboards, Episode #1488-012: "The Unconvincing Turtle Titan"
1.) Pg. 128, etc.: I'm concerned about Mike looking too human (in basic body shape) when he is shown in his Turtle Titan costume. This seems to be a common problem when people (including, sometimes, me) draw Turtles in full-body costumes -- they forget about that big shell that is under the outfit and which really wouldn't allow for a classic wedge-shaped muscular human superhero torso.
2.) Pg. 337: The bit where Mike gets thrown so hard into a steel I-beam that the beam bends to conform to his shell shape (trapping him momentarily) is WAY over the top. If one of the Turtles got thrown that hard into something so tough, he'd be DEAD.
3.) Pg. 417: Why does Mike suddenly have his Turtle Titan costume on again, when back on pages 367-370 he made a big deal about taking it off?
